Child Safety

Window coverings with cords can pose a risk to to small children.  Protect your children with cordless window coverings.  Cordless window coverings provide an excellent option for homes with small children.  Although you can use devices called cleats to wrap cords around, the cordless option is the safest.  If you already have blinds with cords, you should use the cleats and make sure that the cords are securely wrapped and accessible to small children.  Move infants cribs away from windows with corded blinds.  Do not tie the cords together to keep them from dangling, this will create a separate loop that a child could potentially get their head into.  Safety tassels can also be installed to the ends of corded blinds.
